It did not work at all on a futon couch frame that folds lengthwise, i.e., the width of the couch is 72," but is ok on a full-size frame whose width is 52" with a somewhat adjustable foldout length. The stitching seems sturdy, the fabric is nice basic cotton, and it is lightweight enough to be easily manuverable. I hauled it up three flights of stairs on my own in about a minute with no trouble. It is not as firm as I would really like in a futon, however no doubt the fill inside will compress with time. I have it on a full size platform bedframe temporarily as guests are coming, but will be using it with a futon couch frame in the future. It is better suited to being used as part of a couch rather than as a mattress as it is a little bit shorter than a true full mattress. I am 5'8", and ideally wouldn't recommend it for someone over 6' as they might hang off of it a bit while sleeping. The construction seems really reasonably good. I wish it came with a removable washable cover. It's a good deal. :-) |
