I received this pillow with some inclination against it. I've used foam pillows in the past and returned again to feather pillows and had pretty much made up my mind that nothing but a feather pillow was going to be comfortable for me. Receiving this pillow, I was at once impressed with how soft it was while obviously possessed of a firm inner core. Using it consistently for several weeks I can report, while it hasn't been miraculous in terms of giving me better sleep or alleviating any sort of neck pain (I had none to begin with), it has been comfortable and I plan to continue to use the pillow moving forward. As someone who reads in bed, the only complaint I can come up with is that it doesn't fold to support me sitting up in bed, to read, but if that's all I can come up with, then I think the pillow passes the test. 5 stars. I have tried many, many pillows over the last few years and this one is so nice. Since I tend to be a side/stomach sleeper, starting on my side, but ending up on my stomach, this pillow works for both positions. Another good feature is that it doesn't crawl or move around the bed; due to the weight, it is fairly stationary. However, if you like to scrunch your pillow, don't get this product. This is probably just me; I am VERY sensitive to smells and to anything artificial. I really like this pillow, mind you, but I will have to stick to my "natural" pillows that work so well for me--all down pillows and natural latex, and let my hubby have this new pillow. +Plus+ 1. well-designed, form-fitting cotton quilted cover. It is quilted on the side that you lay on, the back side is single thick cotton fabric. It has a handy zipper opening at the top. The cover is easy to remover and washes well in cold water, mild detergent, gentle cycle.
