However, when I pump air into the core, the pillow doesn't seem to change in any way, either in height or firmness. My old one that I lost in a flood, was much better in that it adjusted nicely with the pump. If the air core is what makes it expensive, then don't waste your money. My neck problems have made it difficult to sleep without precise neck support.If the pillow doesn't seem to hold air, check the air release button. There are 2 types, one that pushes down to release air and one that turns to release air. The first type has a flat top and you can try pushing it down and releasing several times to make sure it's working. Amazon shipped the other type to me with it set wide open. So I pumped air to no effect until I closed it. Worked fine after that. Turn it until it stops (don't over tighten or you might damage it). Then try pumping air.
